Solaris is an innovative company with great potential for growth. It is this innovative character that led to Solaris’ 2008 RDI project “SOLARPROCE”. This project studied a number of welding processes to determine what was the best and most profitable for the manufacture of a solar energy absorber, made up of an aluminium alloy panel joined to a copper grid or coil.

This project was carried out in association with the INASMET Technology Centre and Cadiz University and lasted 2 years. It involved an investment of 400,000 Euros, including public funding received from the CDTi and the Idea Agency.

The project, which began in June 2008, is now a reality. The technical conclusions have had very interesting consequences for our company and our product.

We are currently working on another project, “NUMASESOL”. This focuses on new materials, design and research into selective layers for the absorption panel, in the manufacture of more efficient and competitive Solaris brand solar collectors.
